Grow With Christ!

From 2-4 September, we were blessed to run a retreat with 50 boys from Montfort Junior. The retreat was based on the theme "Grow With Christ".

Who am I?

Encouraging the boys to know their true identity in God, to see themselves as God sees them.

Each of our team members took care of a small group of boys over the 3 days. That gave us a chance to listen to them and to know them better.

Day 2 - the seed grows! God loves me into being \o/

Over the next 2 days, we shared about the love of God, how sin separates us from God, and also how in and through Jesus, we always have a way back to the Father.

Sharing about the Holy Spirit, as power of God to help us shine as witnesses. And how we can take practical steps to grow in Christ.

The boys took time to draw their fruit and to write the fruit of the Spirit they wanted to grow in. We then had time to pray for each of them, to receive the graces and blessings from our Lord.

Day 3 - Growing to be a fruit-bearing tree!

Fr JJ Fenelon celebrated the closing mass for the retreat and gave a great homily that encouraged all of us - young and old alike - to keep growing in Christ. :-)

Lord Jesus, protect the seeds of faith planted in each of the Montfortians. By Your grace, may they be firmly rooted in You. Deepen their faith and help them to grow strong and fruitful in your Spirit. Amen.
