It is wonderful to be back at St Gerard's after 6 weeks of outreach in Asia. We were warmly welcomed home by our community and shared a yummy lunch of pizza and croquettes in the Laus' newly renovated kitchen. Home sweet home indeed! :-)
Our last outreach was at the charismatic prayer group of the Holy Trinity parish in Singapore.
After a lively and powerful time of worship led by the prayer group's worship ministry, Wimpie gave a teaching on the power of the Holy Spirit which enables us to say "Yes!" to what God calls us to.
He inspired us with the example of Mary our Mother who trusted God to do the impossible in the daunting circumstances and prospects facing her as she contemplated the will of God for her.
We were blessed by the hospitality and openness of the prayer group
and thankful that some of our own friends were able to attend the prayer meeting that night and be blessed too by God's mercy and grace! \o/
The day before, we ministered to a small group of parent catechists at De La Salle School through a time of teaching and prayer ministry. It was very inspiring for us to hear the mothers share about their own faith journey and their heart to impart faith to the young. In a word, our response to their sharing was "wow!!" \o/
It has been a very blessed 6 weeks of mission in Korea, Indonesia and Singapore. God was with us every step of the way, opening doors and hearts, protecting us, empowering us, keeping us one in Him.
What God had promised for this outreach came to pass as we witnessed people experiencing freedom, healing and joy in the Holy Spirit.
There was much joy, laughter and fellowship along the way among this band of followers as we were variously surrounded and supported by friends and people of good will wherever we went. They were God's ministering angels indeed!
A heartfelt word of gratitude goes out to all our prayer partners who have faithfully accompanied us on our mission. Thank you for labouring alongside us in spirit. May the Lord bless our work with fruitfulness.
More of You Lord in our lives! Now and always!
To You be the glory!
