Greater things have yet to come in Upper Hutt!

We spent our first evening at St Joseph’s parish with the young people and we were pretty chuffed with the good turnout. Quite a few of them continued to support us throughout the week, attending our parish seminars and are now planning to join us for our next worship night on 25 June. Cool!

We spent Sunday evening with our migrant brothers and sisters, encouraging them to continue hoping and trusting in God’s faithfulness as they settle into a new country and community.
We also shared a message of hope with another group of parishioners and supported them with prayer. Thank You Lord that we are not alone on our journey. \o/\o/

Of course there was no missing out on our younger brothers and sisters at St Joseph’s primary school!

During the week, we had 3 morning sessions for the daily mass crowd. Thanks be to God for this inspiration for we were able to reach out to parishioners who would not otherwise be able to join us for the evening seminars. We shared with them on the Father’s love, forgiveness and the power of prayer.

The 3 evenings of parish seminars were times of renewing faith and of healing brokenness and restoring hope.

Over the 3 nights, we felt more and more like a family of faith and there was a change in the atmosphere. People become more and more relaxed and open. On the last night, we challenged the parishioners to give their yes to God and to be available to be used by Jesus. If Jesus could use us, He sure could use them! A great number stepped forward in response, to receive prayer for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit so they could become witnesses! Alleluia!

Greater things have yet to come,
greater things are still to be done in this place,
Come Lord Jesus!

what a special blessing for us to meet Mark Dol's parents! :-)

It's Outreach Season!

On Monday 31 May, we began our month-long mission...
starting with Viard College in Porirua, about half an hour's drive out of Wellington city.

It was a great start, with us having the chance to reach out separately to the boys and girls of the college. As always, we were grateful for the chance to speak to the students one-on-one and to pray for them. One of the students said she never thought that God would know her name. Praise God for this revelation of truth to her!

Day 2: St Anne's Primary School
we had lots of fun presenting the topic "I am a child of God" to our young friends, seen here donning their royal crowns as princes and princesses of God our King!
Val and Christine helping the kids to understand the truths that
each child of God is PRECIOUS, UNIQUE, LOVED and STRONG!

Once again Ju's brother Jem designed our outreach T-shirt. Brilliant, Jem! we love it, as you can tell :)
