Thank you for giving to the Lord!

Every week there is a group of dedicated folks who turn up at Rimutaka prison; a jolly bunch generous with smiles and kind words. They are our prison ministry volunteers! Quality individuals with hearts of gold, they join us to share the Good News of Jesus Christ to the inmates every week.

The ICPE mission is truly blessed by their faithfulness and faith and we had the privilege of honouring these co-workers of ours recently.

preparing tokens of appreciation for them....

Mely, bustling behind the scenes, with Viola in her choice seat!

ready, set, chop!
preparing a sumptuous meal for our co-workers.

Jo and Marilyn getting an immersion experience in the kitchen and emerged winners!

Wimpie encouraging and exhorting our prison ministry team to continue to reach one more for Jesus, the Good Shepherd who has come to save the lost.

Ju, the chicken rice was a hit, as always!

Thank you for giving to the Lord!

Community Experience begins!

Today marks the start of community experience for Jess, Jolene and Marilyn! They will spend a year with our community to discern their missionary calling. Both Jess and Jolene are New Zealanders and Marilyn is from Singapore. We are very happy to have them back with us, after having completed the School of Mission earlier this year. \o/

Father Patrick celebrated mass with us to mark this special day. During the offertory, each of the ladies offered a symbol of their hopes and desires as they enter this new chapter of their lives.
Receiving a blessing from Father Patrick after Holy Communion.

Lunch on the lawn in style!

Soaking in all things great and small,
all things bright and beautiful!

Renewal of Marriage Vows
What a beautiful Eucharistic celebration it was!

Father Ben, the parish priest presiding over the renewal of the vows by the married couples present.

Hey, we know them! :-D

And we know them too! ;-D

Petrus and Mely sharing (literally too) their testimony of living out the sacrament of marriage.

Thank you once again, dear young people of St Thomas More, for your committed support!
Such a joy to worship with you all. \o/

Spring Mission at St Thomas More Parish!

Children's programme. Let the fun begin!

Teaching the children to build their lives on Jesus.
To learn to talk to Him through prayer, and to listen to Him in the word of God.

What are the other rocks we can build on? Letting the children discover these answers for themselves.

Meanwhile, the mothers had their own session with Lucienne

Mely led the children to put up a drama for their parents at the close of the session. Great acting guys!

Spring Mission at St Thomas More Parish!

Parish Seminars
Let's start from the very beginning....

Knowing the Gift
God thought of us and we came into being....

Jess sharing her personal journey of discovering her identity as a gift from God...

Yes, we agree with Michael that he is a handsome son of God!

Day 2 - Receiving the Gift

Of God's salvation through the Cross of Jesus!

Let us forgive as we have been forgiven!

Let us be reconciled to God and to one another.

Day 3 - Being the Gift!

Believing that with God nothing is impossible!

GET UP and GO!
Have Jesus in your heart and share Him with others!
